Just got into entebbe for the flight out tomorrow. 10 days of pure bliss on the R1200 GSA rented from them. Ali charted out my itinerary from Kampala to Kigali and back. Highlighting the parks and places to visit. Started off with tips on how to drive in Africa. Onwards to where to stay and which guide to ride with in the parks. So glad he put some amazing twisties on my route. Specially in Rwanda crossing the border over from kisoro. The GS is made for leaning into the curves, and one feels like doing this all day over and over t every curve. Not once did the bike give any trouble at all. What a fine machine we have the germans to thank for.

The tour was extremely well organised, with some challenging off road riding, quality accommodation, great food and nice bikes. I got to see everything I had hoped for, and much much more. The highlight for me was being able to ride a motorbike in the game reserves and get VERY close to the animals, even going completely off-road to get to places the tour jeeps can’t. Ali and the team did everything they could to make sure everybody had a great time. All the small things like helping loading the bikes, making sure the beer was cold, organising trips, etc. added up to make it a truly fantastic trip. It was just the right balance of off road riding, smooth mountain roads and days off doing trips, etc. An absolutely amazing experience that I will never forget. I will be booking more trips with Ali and can’t wait to get back to East Africa!!

I just finished the 15-day moto tour with Uganda Motorcycle Adventure and had an epic trip. The ride was well planned and hit the absolute highlights of Uganda—Source of the Nile and whitewater rafting at Jinja, hiking, rappelling, coffee farm tour and excellent local food at Sipi/Mt Elgon Park, game rides (for me probably the peak of the two-week trip) and boat trip at Murchison Falls where we saw lions elephants and a huge variety of wildlife, hiking and observing chimpanzees at Kibale Forest—the Rweetera Safari Lodge on the Crater Lake (a community facility) was a particular treat, game rides and boat tour at Queen Elizabeth Park where we saw leopards, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and gorillas, off-piste riding at Lake Mburo Park. Camping areas were all well chosen, very scenic, and enjoyable. The BMWs were nice. Ali, Albert, and Pias made huge effort to ensure that I had a great time. I do a moto trip each year or so, and the Uganda Motorcycle Adventure is among the most memorable. I do recommend.
